Cattrall, born 21 August 1956 is a Canadian actress from British Columbia. Her
role in the role of Samantha Jones in HBO's Sex and the City (1998-04) is the
most well-known of her roles. She was awarded five Emmy Award nominations and
four Golden Globe Award nominees. In 2002, she received the Golden Globe for
Best Supporting Actress. In the movies Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the
City 2 (2010), she reprised her part of Samantha Jones. Cattrall first appeared
in Rosebud (1975) and later went on to perform different roles on television.
In the 1980s, she rose to fame through films such as Ticket to Heaven (1981),
Police Academy (1984) and Hold-Up (1985). She has also appeared in City Limits
(1985), Big Trouble in Little China(86), Mannequin (1987), Masquerade (1888),
Midnight Crossing (1988) and The Return of the Musketeers (1989). Tribute
(1980), Porky's (81) The Turk 182(85) and Baby Geniuses (999) were only a few
occasions she co-starred with Bob Clark. Additional credits include The Bonfire
of the Vanities (1990), Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country (91), Split
Second (1992), Above Suspicion (95), and 15 Minutes (192001).
