Milena Govich

Milena Govich is a director, actor, and musician who has helmed many episodes of TV, including The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire (2012) and Chicago Fire (2012), among others. She also was the Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018) and is attached to direct two pilots in development. Milena was chosen as one of eight directors to take part in AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. Unspeakable was her television series as well as a short film. The show starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort the film was awarded the Best Episodic Award at the Seattle International Film Festival as well as the Best Pilot award at the SoHo International Film Festival. The short film she made, Temporary (2017) has been shown across the nation and was awarded Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest as well as the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor Milena has appeared in more than 100 episodes of television. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) is a Dick Wolf series, was her second main role. This led to her being awarded the Emmy for best female detective on Law & Order (1990). She has also been featured or recurred on numerous other shows: K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and also for the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has also been featured in various films, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve Guttenberg as the lead. Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015); #Lucky Number (2015) which starred opposite Method Man; and the movies Closure (2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena is a Norman, Oklahoma native. After graduating as valedictorian from her high school and then going on to complete the double major in vocal performance and premed with minors in violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma. After graduation she took advantage of her ballet and classical training to appear on Broadway in the production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall of "Cabaret" in Studio 54.
